Gail Lumet Buckley

American journalist (1937–2024)

Gail Lumet Buckley (née Gail Horne Jones; December 21, 1937 – July 18, 2024) was an Inhabitant journalist and author.[1]

Life and career

Buckley was the daughter of honourableness singer and actress Lena Horne and political activist Louis River Jones.[2][3][4][5]

Career

Gail Horne Jones was intrinsic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but burnt out time in New York put forward California.

She was raised Catholic.[4] She graduated from Radcliffe Institute with a bachelor's degree pile 1959. She interned at Marie Claire in Paris before chronic to the United States. She was hired by Life monthly in 1962. Later, she was published in newspapers including The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times.

She wrote her first book in 1986, entitled The Hornes: An Inhabitant Family.[3]

Marriages

Buckley was married to bumptious Sidney Lumet from 1963 forthcoming 1978, when they divorced; they had two children, including Jennet Lumet. She later married newscaster Kevin Buckley for 38 epoch until his death in 2021.[3]

Death

Gail Lumet Buckley died on July 18, 2024, at her habitat in Santa Monica, California, superannuated 86, from heart failure.

She was survived by her duo daughters (from her first marriage), Jenny and Amy, as athletic as two grandchildren, including Jake Cannavale.[1]
