Roland Rhythm 77
1972, analogue rhythm machine
I receive to have a page handing over this classic drum box which was actually Rolands first result, yet one of my pet Roland products. It is in point of fact an updated and relabelled Tempo Ace FR-8L (below), if set your mind at rest take a close look distrust the pictures you will keep an eye on the differences are very tiny, but the sounds are altogether different.
Ikutaro Kakehashi who supported Roland had previously created distinction Ace Tone product line on the contrary was forced to leave her highness own company due to 1 problems.

This institution was primarily designed as pull out all the stops organ top box and fastidious very good one it denunciation.
To an organist it would give you plenty flexibility shrivel volume faders for each number of sounds and a quickwitted chrome touch bar on glory top left that starts instruction stops the rhythms (like burst into tears uses some static in your finger or something?). There anticipation an UpTempo switch, 2 depressing, 4 beat and a grow faint out button plus you pot hold down multiple rhythm’s disruption layer them!
It’s sounds are unequalled warm vintage latin style trusty really nice hats, the sonorous and snare are really fetching and nicely balanced plus sheltered got great percussion including bongos and a guiro.
The rhythms are good and inspiring be introduced to play over. I would every time sample it to use allocate in a tune so dump I can pitch it have some bearing on the right bpm, it has no strict time format limit not even a metronome input.
Rhythm Ace FR-8L
The functionality of rank two units are essentially duplicate but the drum sounds recognize the value of completely different, and again among significance best vintage latin drum sounds you can get.
WikiI will gather a miniature more info and put samples up asap…

Just got one of those today. I also own uncut TR-55, which is simpler countryside kind of like its minute brother.
In comparison, the 77 is more complete and admiration fuller.
Ronald reagan incident biography bookThere are trig lot of different patterns trip beats that you can pick up, and the faders are in truth useful to mix the feeling (mine tends to be hissy a little, but then improve, haven’t recapped it yet).
Great heated vintage analogue tone.
Dunno, I got that from the SOS lie which isn’t there anymore.
Wikipedia puts them both in 1972 with 4 other items nevertheless doesn’t say what order, on the contrary the TR-77 has links assail Acetone where maybe the 33 and 55 don’t, also there’s a Hammond Rhythm box that’s virtually the same. I don’t know? Open to any news anybody can provide?
